Reflections for Hannah – Music Arranged for Oboe and Piano Stefan and I have created a CD which is dedicated to my friend Hannah who sadly lost her brave fight against ovarian cancer in September 2005 at the young age of 23. We knew each other from an early age, went to the same school and were both members of the Exeter Children’s Orchestra. We often played flute and oboe duets together and I wanted to do something in memory of Hannah. Music seemed the most appropriate way. I had problems deciding which pieces to record and it proved difficult to incorporate more lively music alongside certain slower pieces which, for personal reasons, needed to be included. There can be a fine line between sad music and beautiful music but I like to think of this selection purely as a collection of very beautiful and meditative music for reflections and thoughts. The CD is not intended to be a professional recording and it is not for sale. Instead I ask you, if you have not already done so, to please make a donation to the Eve Appeal, a charity directly involved with finding a cure for Ovarian Cancer.
